Eddie Ryan is a graphic design educator and photographer, currently living in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. His work is predominantly about reading place and space. He uses photography as a method of locating himself in unfamiliar landscapes, cultures and customs, reading surface expositions as reflexive maps of ontology. He is an MA graduate with distinction from the MFA Photography programme at the Belfast School of Art, Ulster University.
